The lecture will focus on understanding the key dynamics that have been of significant influence to scholars and shape how we respond to crises/disasters. The real life case example experiences, (2015 Nepal Earthquake) will be shared to scholars and academicians. This will provide an interactive experience and give a realistic understanding of the limitations and opportunities that arise in high-pressure crisis/Disasters management situations and environments.
Methods are introduced to identify the causes, consequences and measures taken to minimize the likelihood of the crisis event happening or to reduce the impact on the asset or its surroundings. The presentation will highlight an Intensive multidisciplinary course of study that is focused on both natural and human-made disasters.
The lecture is specifically designed to help shape the intellectual, moral, and crisis management leadership necessary for meeting both natural disaster and human-made global challenges. Inclusive of diverse topic areas such as the Anatomy of crisis, decision making in crisis environment, crisis mapping, risk management, emergency management, crisis communication, community crisis management and international crisis management and complex emergencies. It is an all encompassing presentation that covers the many areas and skills of Crisis Management that are required in real life
