On the morning of 14th November, 9 members led by Furong Qi (Party Secretary) from the Institute of Disaster Prevention visited the Institute of Disaster Management and Reconstruction. Dean prof. Gretchen Kalonji, Executive Vice-dean Chen Yong and teachers and researchers participated in the meeting. Prof. Gretchen introduced the discipline construction, talent training and social services of IDMR, and the future development direction and the ideas of cooperation between the two parties. Furong Qi said that the Institute of Disaster Prevention and IDMR have strong complementarity and extensive cooperation space. He hoped that both sides can give full play of their advantages, develop cooperation and make contributions to promote the development of disaster prevention. Meeting also discussed personnel training, discipline construction, education and training construction, cooperation in scientific research projects, and communications of teachers and students. Both parties reached preliminary cooperation agreement and established the foundation for further cooperation.

Furong Qi and his colleagues visited the Earthquake Simulation Platform, Disaster Nursing Laboratory, Prosthetic Orthopedic Laboratory, Disaster Educatiand Research Center and Ministry of Education Deep Earth Science and Engineering Key Laboratory after the meeting.
