Joseph is a Ugandan, holding a PhD in Disaster and Emergency Health from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. His current position at the Institute of Disaster Management and Reconstruction (IDMR), Sichuan University is an Associate Professor. Apart from developing and undertaking different collaborative research projects such as systematic review studies, disaster epidemiology, injuries etc., He is also assisting in teaching and supervision of the graduate students at IDMR. He is passionate about teaching and training by using student-centered and blended learning approaches, as well as conducting interdisciplinary, innovative, and impactful research focused on addressing today’s most pressing challenges, in particular, those related to disaster epidemiology, public health, disability, healthy ageing, and rehabilitation, etc., in the context of climate change.
